Here are some pictures of the general throng:

The boardgames library was well used as always and many people also brought their favourite games along.

The most popular games in the board games library were:

Carcassonne
Oh, Pharoh!
Alles Im Eimer (The Bucket King)
Gloom
The Great Dalmuti
Civilization or Civilization: The Board Game (were not sure which one as we had both there)
Saga
All Wound Up
Tongiaki
Age of Mythology

People here are enjoying Starfarers of Catan & Formula De .

The participation miniatures games always look good, and this year was no exception.

John presides over the Lord of the Rings extravaganza.

Hordes of the Things, but not as we know it!
(Note the catfish emerging from a pond
in this cat based army)

and the dumper truck behemoth in this modern take on the game.

Something for the more serious wargamer.

Vampires may not show up in mirrors, but they did on our camera. Saturday's V: TES tournament went very well, and about half the players returned to get their teeth into something else on the Sunday.

While we were all having fun and games in the halls, the caterers were having fun and games in the kitchen, where the recently installed electronically controlled system senses when someone is cooking and automatically shuts off the gas supply for "health and safety" reasons. We trust that the Council will have finally sorted the problem by this time next year - many thanks to the dozens of you who signed the petition expressing our disgust and distress, which will help to impress upon the Council the considerable distance that many people travel for these events. The caterers especially appreciated the rousing cheer that greeted Saturday evening's announcement that there would be bacon sandwiches on Sunday morning come hell or high water, a promise which they duly kept. Fortunately there was still plenty of cold food available and there are many nearby take-aways, so nobody went hungry. The bar got through several firkins and pins of assorted ales, so no problems there!

Don't forget to put next year's dates in your diary - 13th/14th May 2006.
