The eight scenarios included cover action from the vast steppes of Russia to the islands of Crete and Sicily, to the narrow streets of Arnhem. Some of the usual ASL bells and whistles have been dropped and simplified rules have been provided in order to make these scenarios easy to play for anyone interested in an exciting WWII tactical level experience. Beginners will rapidly get into the thick of the action as no prior experience or purchase is needed. The scenarios are also instantly playable by anyone already familiar with ASL and ASL vehicles.

Starter Kit #3 - Tanks will provide many hours of entertainment without any additional purchase. But players who master this material may want to expnad their horizons to incude the detailed rules that make up the total ASL system, which are available in the ASL Rulebook. Others may want to wait for additional Starter Kit material or try one of the Starter Kit scenarios available in Operations magazine.

The counters and boards included here are compatible with all ASL products. Additional ASL material is available from Multi-Man Publishing and finer hobby game stores.
