  Description

This intellectual, entertaining and irreverent card game takes place in a universe without religion. Players represent rival "Zeitgeists" (German, Time-Spirits) competing in a meta-battle of rational ideas to maintain ethics, morals and meaningful lives for all! It takes no prior knowledge of philosophy to enjoy, as the gameplay is 100% strategic.

Each round a queue of potentially existing philosophers and scientists are lined up. These humans are worth varying amounts of points, according to their intellectual status and magnitude. It is then up to each Zeitgeist, in their turn, to create the best of them into their particular World by playing cards that can alter the order of the line. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins. Will you be strategically clever enough to out-smart your friends in this master-piece of a game.

Featuring: 160 cards with specifically detailed encyclopedic information for over 50 philosophers, 10 scientists & 95 philosophical and scientific concepts.

Reviews Review Game
By Anders From Copenhagen in Denmark
Review
I think it's an excellent game, but don't just take my word for it. _ At www.boardgamegeek.com users have written: "Very good concept and thoughtfully put into a tactical game with a lot of twists. Sometimes it is obvious what to do, but winning is not that easy! The rules are kind of confusing while first read, but playing the game, everything becomes quite straightforward. Looking forward for the expansions!" - and - "I'm not a cardgamelover, but this is a nice idea. Collegue-players make the comparison with Guillotine. But this is much more to me. A better version, with better rules, better lay-out and one can even learn something about filosofers and co. I got enthousiastic right away. The box is a bit flimsy, the cards on the other hand a well taken care of, big enough, attractive and strong enough." _ The game was nominated in Denmark for the Golden Game-Piece 2009 in the category "Adult Game of the Year" www.guldbrikken.dk _ The designers have been sued by the catholic organization Opus Dei. Wonder how long the game is going to stay on the market.
