The expansion offers all fans of Carcassonne new challenges: The Cathedral triples the value of a city, and the Inn double the value of a road - but only when they are completed. Players may use the new large follower to double their chances of controlling a city, road, or field.

Also included is all necessary material to allow a sixth player to join in the fun.

Finally, there are 6 point tiles to make scoring easier when player score more than 50 points.

Another expansion to the original and well worth buying Carcassonne series. In this little gem, you can add Cathedral tiles to your city and increase the amount of points to 3 per tile when you score them. The Inns can be found on the road tiles and double the score of a road. It�s worth noting however that the twist here is that if you don�t complete a city that has a Cathedral or a road that has an Inn then you score absolutely nothing, yes that�s right zilch, zip, zero, for your city and/or road. As well as being able to make a significant difference to your score, this also gives a great advantage to a player who picks out a Cathedral or Inn towards the end of the game as it means you have a good chance of sabotaging their last city and/or road as they may not be able to complete it.

This is practically an essential expansion - the inns are exactly the sort of thing that would have been better in the original box as a given - you get fish in rivers in H and G, and a doubler on roads in The Castle as a matter of course. The cathedral tiles are also fun to use. Over all if you like the game, you probably ought to buy this. It will add a great deal of fun to your playing of the game.

This expansion actually adds quite a lot to the game in the way of new ways of scoring and new tiles.

Some of the new tiles have formatons that where missing in the orignal set and lets you fill in those annoying gaps you could be left with.

As for the new ways of scoring these are interesing and add a few nice new ideas.

If you have Carcassonne then this is a good buy and well worth it.

If you do not have Carcassonne in your games collection why not!!
