CHICAGO SUN-TRIBUNEMACHINE WINS AGAIN! The Chicago Machine candidate for Mayor handily won re-election yesterday, an event conceded as a foregone conclusion, since the Machine candidate has never failed to win a majority in any election since 1931. The Mayor's opponent delivered his concession speech at his downtown hotel headquarters shortly after the polls closed at 6:00pm. The Mayor's Victory celebration continued well into the night. The key to the Chicago mayoral race is not the election; it is the Democratic nomination. The Democratic nominee is virtually guaranteed to win the election. The Chicago Way pits each player against the others in an effort to win the Democratic nomination for Mayor. Each player must campaign through the neighbourhoods of Chicago to influence, charm, and bribe the city's politicians for their support. Only one candidate can win... and that is the one who can best corral the support of the politicians within the Machine. The Chicago Way is a challenging game... easy-to-learn, easy-to-play, sometimes difficult to master. Along the road to victory is a truckload of player interaction and negotiation... The Chicago Way comes with everything necessary for play... 12 full-colour neighbourhood map-boards, dice, game rules, wood pieces, and full colour game cards (complete with illustrations and bios of famous Chicago politicians). Scruples not included.
