City and Guilds is a strategic tile laying game in which four medieval guilds of Bakers, Cloth makers, Candle makers and Blacksmiths fight for control of a medieval city. Each guild has guild houses and markets to play on the various city blocks. You have three aims 1) to control blocks, 2) to control guilds that control the city blocks and 3) make your guilds as large as possible. This leads to a number of dilemma's on every turn. Say you as Blue, have a candle makers, a cloth maker market and a minstrel house....

1) Do you place a candle makers to increase the size of the chain you hope to control?
2) Or do you compete for block control but not extend the guild?
3) Do you place the minstrel house to increase the block value?
4) Or do you place a cloth maker market to increase your control of the cloth makers guild but add no influence to the block?
