Adventure in Dragonland! The dragons hide their treasure in the numerous volcanoes, but their treasure is in danger - the volcanoes will soon erupt! To save the treasure, the dragons have asked the dwarves, elves, humans and magicians for help. Each group competes with the others to be the most successful at gathering treasure for the dragons.

Using strategy and cunning, each player moves his group of companions from volcano to volcano collecting treasure. All their movements are under the control of the tower of destiny, which sometimes arranges for a companion to reach his destination a bit too late...

This is a good family game from Reiner Knizia. The pieces are really good quality and the board has some really nice artwork also, but how does it play?

Well, it plays very well. The rules are easy to read with plenty of good illustrations. A Dice Tower is provided for rolling the dice, which incidentally are average dice, one using the numbers 1,2,3 and the other 2,3,4. Each player moves around the board, trying to collect sets of tokens, namely an egg, a red jewel, blue jewel, and green jewel, with diamonds that have been collected being used as 'wild cards'.

All in all, this is not only just a good game to play with the family, but can be quite a tactical game for us gamers as well, especially when played two player.

Very nice family game.

With your three adventurers you will have to gather treasures (dragon eggs, jewels) that you will find in Volcanoes. at the end of the game, you'll score according to the combination of treasures you'll have (best is 1 egg + 3 jewels of different colors). In the volcanoes you can also meet dragons which can help you travel quicker from a volcano to another if the dragon is the same color of your adventurer. Otherwise you'll have to rely on the dices

The board is nice and the material is of high standard : many sparkling jewels, the Chance tower in which you throw the dices ... This game is really made for families. You can play with your children (from ~7 years old) : chance has a reasonnable place and everybody can win.
