Object of the game - The whole idea is to prove to the world that you're the one 'who really has the huevos'. 'Sabotage' and 'steal' you're opponent's Huevos, while you protect and add to your own 'Huevos Points' total. Bottomline: Being the one to finish with the most 'Huevos Points' earns the right to act like a complete jerk and proclaim yourself the one and only 'Huevos Champion'

From the makers of the amusing Pimps & Hos comes this game about huevos. It’s a card game set, by the looks of it, in Mexico.
The idea is to collect the most huevos points. I have been told that huevos is the Spanish word for eggs, but to be honest I am pretty sure that it is used as a metaphor for cajones.

So with that in mind I read the instructions, and that’s where the first problem revealed itself. Like the Pimps & Hos instructions, there are several things missing from the rules and they spend a lot of time repeating themselves. Just one test read of the instructions would have revealed this error. Which makes you wonder why they didn’t do it.
You start off by dealing six heuvos points cards to each player. Then you are required to place them in order of size face up in front of you. The reason for this is never explained, neither is the special number at the bottom of each points card. The game play is simple: play a card, draw a card. The cards do a variety of things: cards like ‘More Huevos please’ let you draw another points card and ‘Who Really Has the Huevos’ lets you steal a huevos points card from another player. There are also other cards that let you interrupt other players’ turns and stop them stealing your huevos. The game ends when the action cards deck runs out and then the winner is the player with the most points.

The game feels a lot just like a random experience. You draw a card and then play it: if you get a good card you are more likely to win, if not you can be stiffed over. The game is too simple even for a quick beer and pretzels game, there is no strategy whatsoever, and the one card, which could bring some interest to the game, ‘Huevos Challenge’, doesn’t work. The rules state that the challenge card is played and then everyone bids an amount of their huevos points: the winner is the person who bids the most and then that player gets all other cards used to bid. But you can choose to bid no points and there is no upper limit to bids. So if you have the most points, you play the challenge card, you bid everything, then every other player, seeing you cannot be out-bid, bids zero, so you have wasted your turn and nothing happens.

The game is flawed, the artwork is shameful and the card stock is cheap. Even speaking in a phony Mexican accent only adds fun to the game for a few minutes. I was very disappointed by this game and there is absolutely no reason for any one else to play it.
