The Game of Strategic Air Operations in WWII.A mixture of planning and luck, it was designed by RAF fighter pilots in WWII, between air operations. Each player controls one of the Allied or Axis powers, normally winning by advancing his armies, but with air power determining his ability to keep his armies supplied with tanks. This is done in a semi-abstract way, rolling dice to determine what resources you get and drawing cards to see the results of air raids and battles. Because the players on each side co-operate fully, two players can use just two countries for a potentially quick game, or run three countries each for the full game, and new players can be taught by their allies. This allows a multi-player game to continue while one player is called away for other duties, an unusual and useful feature. This version was first produced in 1980 and has been out of print for some years, but occasional batches are still produced.
