Mesopotamia was home to many tribes and many golden ages as each tribe had their season in the sun. During their season, a tribe would start new temples or continue work on temples begun by other tribes. Thus, with the help of the various tribes, the temples grew more and more beautiful and eventually reached so high they seemed to touch the sky. The temples of these master builders take you breath away, but natural or man-made disasters can bring the temples down. When this happens, the craftsmen begin anew, move to work on another temple, or just go home. Even with such setbacks, the temples continue to grow toward the sky as the players work to build these monuments.

Contents:
* 1 board
* 60 tribe cards
* 45 temple cards
* 2 temple stones
* 1 rule booklet

Review
This gets easier after two or three plays. It's ok the first time, but there will be a little stop-starting as you fathom what the different tribes do and the best ways to utilise them. It's a good one for medium brain-burning. If you like this, you may wish to try Battle-Line or Saga. I'd put Babel a mite lower than Battle-Line for strategy and about level with Saga. Saga is similar in feel. In fact, part of it is a mirror image - Saga has the settlements having the special powers and the cards just having to defend/attack them. In Babel, it's the cards that have the powers and you defend territories/towers that have no powers. One thing appears clear, if you like either Babel or Saga, you're very likely to enjoy the other - and probably Battle-Line, too.
