Caesar's Gallic War is a two player game based on Julius Caesar's conquest of Gaul. The game begins with Caesar's arrival in Gaul in 58 BC and lasts through 51 BC. During this time both players will attempt to bring Gallic tribal areas under their control, either through military or political means.

38.99 One person plays the side of the Romans, while the other plays the side of the Germanic player.

The game uses wooden blocks to represent the armies of the era. The game also uses area movement. Players use cards to obtain allies, move units and attack or play events. Certain leaders are represented in the games, including Julius Caesar, Vercingetorix and Ariovistus.

As the Germanic player you will start with fewer and weaker units, but you will have an easier time recruiting other tribes to your side. Eventually Vercingetorix will appear to help you. Will you confront the Romans directly? Or will you play defensively,and rely on raiding tactics and political maneuvering?

As the Romans you start with six legions, including Caesar and the vaunted X Legion. Your units are stronger and faster. But you'll have a more difficult time recruiting tribes onto your side, and you'll not only have to worry about rebellions, but watch your supplies as well.
