The Mediterranean Sea is the lifeline for merchants living in the land and on its shores. Here, the player represent competing merchant families plying their trade throughout the region. As the players move their ships from port to port, they try to load and deliver large cargoes of the seven major trading goods: jewels, scrolls, silk, salt, pottery, olives, and grain. Knowing the market limit for each ware, a player will try to fill his ship with just this much of each cargo type to gain the most from his investments. Of course, players must always be on the lookout for pirates, who will board careless ships, stealing both cargoes and reputations. The most successful player will earn the most money - you are merchants, after all, and win the game!Contents:

|I got this game bought for me at Essen as the game that this company produced last year I enjoyed. I am very glad that I did, it is a great game and sold out at Essen this year.
The game is a little like Bohnanza in that you are trying to get sets of cards to score you points at the end of the game. You can also score points through out the game in various ways. Each card also controls your hand size and the number of cards you can lay down next time. On top of this they do two of four things, move you on a board involved in the game, add to your pirate stack (negative points at the end of the game), score you more points and give you cards.
Due to trading there is very little down time in this game and more players the better.
This is a great game and I am looking forward to playing it again.
