Your orders have just arrived; you will clear the enemy from the village to your front and hold the crossroads against his inevitable counterattack. In the next two hours, the fate of an empire may be decided on this half a mile of ground.

Form your battalions in attack columns, concentrate your howitzers on the enemy-held buildings, deploy more light infantry to thicken the skirmish line, order up the light cavalry to prevent any nasty surprises on your flank.
