Beer & Pretzels Ironclads are extremely simple rules that were originally designed to introduce other gamers to the fun and excitement of historical miniatures. The response to the rules at conventions and on the Web was such that we decided to publish them. We hope you enjoy using the rules as much as we enjoyed developing them.

The rules are designed for each player to control one to three boats. Each boat model represents a single civil war ironclad, tin clad, or timber clad boat. We threw out the time and ground scales to save money.
