Based on the award-winning Empire Builder rail building game, Eurorails allows you to amass fortune and power by picking up commodities from cities that produce them and delivering them to cities that need them. The more efficient the rail lines you build, the larger your fortune becomes.
Use the erasable crayons to lay track between major European cities and use the European Currency unit (ECu) as money to purchase your routes. The coated gameboard lets you draw routes between the cities and then wipe the board clean after every game.
Eurorails has one basic rule: you spend money to make money, and if you can't deliver on your demands, you can't make money. So build carefully and make each mile count.

|This was the first of the crayon games to get the modernisation treatment, with plastic tokens instead of card and a proper deck of cards instead of sheet punch cards. Empire Builder and British Rails have now both had the same makeover, which is a big improvement (and means my original EB and BR can now go onto my collectors shelf where my collectors games live) This version is played across Europe and plays very well, the demand cards making full use of all areas of the board. An extensive network is required to win this one.|

This game is one of a group of join the dots games. Should appeal to most ages, and if you are into this type of game, it is one of the better versions.
Set in Europe (obviously), I genuinely learned my way round the less well known cities of our fair continent. Frustrating, and entertaining, can be quite a long game 3-4 hours (1 hour per person) you can even play it as a solo game when you are off sick and stuck indoors (There's nothing on the telly). Reasonably balanced, makes you think, reasonable player interaction (the more the merrier)
Not bad for new players, as the rules are fairly straight forward, and as if you haven't played this kind of game before, and enjoy it, there are several other versions, the original was North America, and even a fantasy version - Dragon Rails (a little silly but plays well).
8 out of 10 Henchman.
