A dark rift has opened, spewing monsters of the Abyss to lay siege to the Citadel of Modhelm! All hope lies on the mighty heroes who unite to defend its walls. We must endure until salvation arrives!
B-Sieged: Sons of the Abyss is a fully cooperative castle defense board game that combines exciting combat action with strategic resource management. In this thrilling defensive battle, 1 to 6 players control the mighty heroes of Modhelm, who must hold out long enough for the Messenger to return with a powerful magic artifact that will break the enemy siege.
For 12 rounds that encompass 4 seasons, the heroes must repel the attackers fighting them from the castle walls, firing the mighty catapult that sits at the centre of the Citadel, while also equipping themselves for the siege, fixing damaged parts of the city and gathering food to keep people from starving during the long battle.
If the messenger can return in time with the magic artifact, the abyssal forces will be cast back into the fiery darkness. If not, the realm will be consumed.

|The game is set where a large number of monsters are laying siege to the Citadel of Modhelm! It is down to a band of mighty heroes to defend the citadel. This game is a cooperative castle defence board game with added resource management. The game supports from 1 to 6 players. To win the heroes must fight off the enemies and hold out long enough for the Messenger to return with a powerful magic artefact. During your turn, the Heroes may take 3 actions. They can spend these actions to visit the various buildings inside the Citadel to get resources (such as Food, Gold, Special Abilities, and Cards), repair damaged buildings, trade cards, fight Enemies from the walls, or try to use the catapult at the center of the Citadel. The Heroes must work together to ensure resources are shared evenly, gather supplies, and survive the siege. After all the heroes have taken their turns it’s the Monsters' turn. Each monster figure on the board will activate and perform their actions according to its rank. If you can get the messenger to leave the board and then return to the citadel within the 12 rounds then you have won the game. I'm not sure where to start with this one I suppose I should say I like the game..... BUT it’s a difficult one. There is a good game there it’s just that the rules aren't good and it really does feel as if it’s not been play tested at all. I found some of the game to be too luck based considering that the game can take a while to play. In the games we played they were hard and we only won when we played with "Adjusted home rules", the catapult in the center is very powerful but and this is the bit I don't understand they seemed to have added a further level of complexity when one wasn't required, in order to use the catapult you have to roll a dice to see if you move the catapult to the direction you require (it can fail) so you have wasted a turn effectively. Since they released it they have published amended rules and these have made it better. This is definitely one I would say try before you buy which I don't say very often at all!!|
