Dawn of the Italian Wars 1945 -1525
Charles VII, The King of France, offered the Kingdom of Naples as an enticement to intervene in Italian City State politics, dared to actually claim it. As swiftly as his army took it, the Italians turned on the King and united, ultimately forcing him to march away northwards out of Italy. As a final "goodbye," the Army of the League of Venice under the command of the exceptionally brave Condottieri Francesco Il Gonzaga, planned a final swift kick; an attack to hurry the French onwards, embarrass them further, and keep them from Parma. The result was the Battle of Fornovo, 6 July 1945 - long thought a League victory, yet it was hardly that; as the last battle of the Medieval Era and the First of the Renaissance Age, it was a bloody affair fought across the raging and rising waters of the Taro River. Now you can take command of the forces of France or the League of Venice in this historical simulation game of medieval & early renaissance warfare.
Order of Arms: Fornovo 1495 features rich and detailed tactical rules, four scenarios ranging from the battle as it was fought, the full battle using either historical or free setups, to a what if, Drive on Parma French attack; and exceptionally thorough weather and rising Taro river rules.
