Scythe is a competitive 4x game set in an alternative-history 1920s. It is a time of farming and war, broken hearts and rusted gears, innovation and valour.
The ashes from the first Great War still darken the snow in 1920s Europa. The capitalistic city-state known simply as "The Factory," which fuelled the war with heavily armoured mechs, has closed its doors, drawing the attention of several nearby countries.
With characters from five factions converging onto a small but highly desired swath of land, who will gain fame and fortune by establishing their empire as the leader of Eastern Europa?
Faction-Specific Components (total for all 5 factions)

|For me, the very best game that I Kickstarted last year and one that I thing will last a long time high in my top ten of games. A superb production with an impressive weight of components. I'd strongly recommend getting the board extension that allows you to create a much larger version of the mapboard. The mech models and Companion pieces that represent you on the board are superb and I'd strongly recommend painting them to add the last touch to this immensely evocative and atmospheric game. It is a brilliant blend of familiar elements: expansion, resource collection/worker placement/combat/encounter cards and more with an at first dizzying number of things to take into account. But you quickly pick up the mechanics as you play and I've never been more than totally engrossed by game play and watching what is going down with your opponents. For me this is a msut have in any collection.|
