The Taming of the Red Planet Has Begun!
Corporations are competing to transform Mars into a habitable planet by spending vast resources and using innovative technology to raise the temperature, create a breathable atmosphere, and make oceans of water. As terraforming progresses, more and more people will immigrate from Earth to live on the Red Planet.
In Terraforming Mars, you control a corporation with a certain profile. Play project cards, build up production, place your cities and green areas on the map, and race for milestones and awards.
Will your corporation lead the way into humanity's new era?

|When first introduced to Terraforming Mars, the title didn’t exactly rock me back on my heels, nor did the initial description of play, though the layout of the board, quality of components and box art were a strong plus. Visually I particularly liked the appropriate ocre/orange box art with its vista of the Red Planet. However, it was the gameplay, the interaction of the mechanics with the cards and hex tiles that you place on the mapboard to develop the terrain of Mars that did it for me. I was hooked and engrossed. More than anything else, this wasn’t just a bolt-on-theme. Though a Sci-Fi fan, terraforming would not have been top of my list to make a game out of, but everything I did and saw before me contributed to the concept. A real winner.|
