MidCon 2019

An interesting challenge for me this year, having broken an arm 6 weeks previously; I was declared fit(ish) in the nick of time to be able to drive, which was just as well as one of the cars helping out broke down. All went well in the end, with a good mix of new and older games sold, with some serious bargains snapped up.

The organizers were pleased with the numbers in attendance – the place was comfortably full, and our trade was up on last year. The draught beer from the Deventio brewery ran out on the first evening, but supplies of their bottled beers were maintained, and, importantly for those of us driving, the tea arrangements were way better than previously, being much better, cheaper, and always available. What a difference that made! I still felt alive at the end of three quite hectic days, and with the help of willing volunteers were packed up and back at the shop in no time. By the end of Monday Sally and I had the remaining games back on the re-assembled shelves, all ready for a new week.

Roll on next year.
